New House of Hades Theory

But first, some tweets. Should we be concerned about these, or happy??

Definitely shouldn't be happy about the second one...

Anyway, here's a theory I found. Lemme know what you think:

I think that a lot of us have forgotten what Tartarus originally is.  Tartarus doesn’t exist for the landscape, guys.  It’s a prison.  That’s why people like Tantalus and Kronos are sent there.  And look at how similar Percy and Annabeth’s clothes are in the cover art- like uniforms.  And a lot of people have pointing out how they’re running away from something, right?
What if Percy and Annabeth are escaping from Tartarus.  What if they accidentally lead a godsdamned jailbreak?

  1. There is always something to run away from in these books,so it is not that surprising. I also am noticing that both Percy and Annabeth are walking in some Percy-controlled water, which they probably need to get through the fires of Tartarus. It also looks like Annabeth is seriously injured or her leg still hasn't fully healed since the end of MOA, which really must be a serious wound. Or this trip through Tartarus may take up a day or two.

    1. I don't think he's controlling it; it looks more like mist, and that he's being chased by it. I don't think there'll be much water down there for him to control much less any that will obey him.
Probably right about Annabeth. Someone pointed out that it looks like he's holding her up, but she's pushing him forward. He stopped to look at something terrifying behind him, right? Seems like Annabeth's trying to get him moving.

    2. It still looks like water to me, but you may be right it could be some mist. I guess we will have to wait till October to find out.

  2. I guess that they are running from Gaea's forces.

From the clothes maybe the theory is correct but how can Tartarus not exist as a landscape. How can a prison not be a place ? It's on the theoreticaly spiritual underworld but the ancient underworld is still something physical as it is under the earth and the living can visit it.

Tartarus although is a pretty undefined place from what remains of the ancient scripts but is safe to say that it's depths aren't bottomless.

From the look of the bluish aura i think it's the power of some Giant that is guarding the doors.

And thank the God if not alla but the best part of the book is going to describe what Annabeth and Percy are going throught in Tartarus cause i think would be way more interesting.

    1. I'm sure it's not just a prison, it probably has parts that look like the cover, different landscapes, like you said.
      Good theory about the aura.
I think Annabeth will be narrating, because she hasn't gone a second time, like the Romans (Jason, Frank, and Hazel.) And Rick's told us we'll know what's going on in Tartarus. From the cover, it does look like a lot of the focus will be on Percy and Annabeth.
