STOP THE PRESSES!

Oh this is too good!

Check this out...

More info right here!

And in the first link, they confirmed the release date of House of Hades as October 8.

Did I Just Find...

...the

OFFICIAL

RELEASE

DATE

FOR

THE HOUSE OF HADES???

Here!

It's all on that site! October eighth! Write it on your calendar!

However, this is most likely just a rumor, and the date is subject to change. I have no confirmation, except what's on that site.

You can thank me now. ;)

Aha! My Theory Was Correct!

(I think this is actually old.) Rick posted this on his twitter, talking about writing The House of Hades:
So it looks to me like there will be a few Percy/Annabeth moments in this book.

Which means I was probably right when I said that Annabeth will be narrating!

My money's on Jason, Hazel, Frank, and Annabeth as narrators.

More Rocco Art!

Hannibal in Son of Neptune

Sadie in Serpent's Shadow

Promo poster for some reading thing that I didn't get all the information about. (Wasn't that informative?) ;)

I HAVE HOPE

ForestQueen has been kind enough to send me a few pictures from the LAST DAY on set, which was recently. (One of those pics includes Logan on his b-day, which was a few days ago, I think?) Maybe this means we'll get a poster soon!

I also happened across this:

John Rocco (official Riordan cover artist) did this special edition cover for The Mark of Athena.

Quick Update

Absolutely no new info on the movie. None whatsoever. It's due in theaters August 16 of this year, and I've seen trailers already for other movies coming out in August. If I had to guess, I'd say they're probably going to move the release date back.

Also, February 1 is the official one year anniversary of DNN! Thank you everyone for your support and OVER 15,000 PAGEVIEWS!

One other thing I wanted to mention. I have an "informant" in Greece, one of my blog followers on here, with the username of Tse. Tse commented on one of my previous posts with some incite on Epirus that you might find interesting:

"At Epirus flows the river Acheron which is the river Charon travels the souls into the Underworld.
The Styx is a river of the Underworld not the upper world don't confuse them. I think that Acheron actually turn into Styx when the River enters the Underwolrd but that info slips my mind right now.

So i the region where Acheron is is claimed by the ancients to be a door to the Underworld(the main door actually) so i think that will be the region the Doors of Death are.
Maybe in the ancient times the where a temple or an oracle there so that's why it's called the House of Hades(if not for the obvious reason).

As for the POV's i personally think will we have Percy's and Annabeth's POV's as well as Jason's and Nico's. I personally think there will be more POV's than the last book.

And i think you are right Percy and Annabeth will most likely make it out alive. But the door's must be closed from both ends. So someone will be left behind."

Thank you Tse for the info and thank you all for supporting DNN!

House of Hades

Happy New Year!

I found a couple of interesting theories we could discuss, but first, a general update.

Rick reassures us once again that he is "deep into writing The House of Hades." He better be.

I've been looking for more information about the Sea of Monsters movie, and though I didn't find much, I did find some interesting things. Contrary to my earlier belief that the movie was going to be released in March of this year, the official date is August 16, 2013. Also, the movie is going to be converted to 3D in post-production (the stage it's in right now), and this lovely lady

(Zoe Aggeliki; Swedish/Greek model/actress) has been cast as Silena Beauregard! According to Wikipedia, at least. As far as I remember, Silena doesn't appear in Sea of Monsters, but I guess we'll have to see.

On to the theories. I'm re-reading The Mark of Athena (and I assume most of you have at least finished it once) and I came up with a couple of interesting things. I did some research on Epirus, and found out that it's a region, not a city, most of which spans Northwestern Greece and the rest of which spans some of Albania. I couldn't find anything that might indicate the significance of this in The House of Hades, but I did find information about a princess from that region named Olympias. She was a member of a snake-worshiping cult (so snakes might come into play in this next book) that followed Dionysus. I also understand she was mother of Alexander the Great? According to Wikipedia. One other notable thing: an olympic medal was found in Egypt in 1902 bearing her picture. I doubt that pertains to the book, however.

As for the narration of The House of Hades, I think the Romans are going to be narrating this time around. Here's a message I sent to my friend online, talking about just that:

"The Lost Hero was Jason, Piper, and Leo. The Son of Neptune was Percy, Frank, and Hazel. The Mark of Athena was Percy, Piper, Leo, and Annabeth. It's safe to assume that The House of Hades will be Jason, Frank, and Hazel. Maybe Reyna, too? Or will Annabeth go a second time?"

Who knows? And I have another friend on a different website that has some interesting theories. She posts most of them here. She and I were talking the other day and as soon as she replies, I'll post the theories we were discussing.
