Thoth!

I found a full-size picture of Thoth that Rick released on his blog. It's infinitely better than the tiny one featured on the Disney Hyperion site:

What do you think? I think he's the coolest god we've met since Apollo!

Stop the Presses!

Whoops, I was wrong!

And I'm very happy to admit that fact!

Immediately after publishing the previous post, I went on the Disney Hyperion Kane Chronicles website and wouldn't you know it, they have some character releases! Thoth was released today with an awesome picture and this information:

Represents: Knowledge and wisdom.
Symbol- An Ibis
Why so special? Don't let his relaxed look fool you, this god has amazing, Hieroglyphic-throwing powers!

Unfortunately, I can't click and drag the picture to upload it here, but it features a cool pic of the god holding an electric guitar and wearing some sort of rock band t-shirt. Go check it out! Disney Hyperion KC.

Anyway, there are four other set character releases coming out on April 3, April 10, April 17, and April 24. One of them looks suspiciously like a hippo... Perhaps Tawaret from Sunny Acres? We'll see...

Thanks, Guys!

BlueTrident added me as an affiliate today and I just wanted to thank them so....

THANK YOU! <3

Besides that, there really hasn't been any news. But I think we can expect some Sea of Monsters movie/graphic novel news in the near future, along with some Red Pyramid graphic novel and Serpent's Shadow news.

I think I may have miscalculated with the Serpent's Shadow character releases thing. I don't think there will be any new characters to speak of, unless we get some Apophis art, which would be awesome! We may get a few more sneak previews next month, but besides that, I think we'll just have to wait for May 1 to find out what happens.

Thanks for reading and special thanks to BlueTrident. Again. =D

Courtesy of Rick's blog, I found out that the Kane Chronicles Survival Guide is available at bookstores today! (I did actually know that the release date was March 20, I just lost track of the days. Haha.)

Here's the official description:

Featuring enough information and extras to satisfy avid followers and budding Egyptologists alike, this guide will cast a spell on readers of all ages.

It's also available on Amazon. =D

Something Interesting...

There hasn't been much news lately in the PJatO universe, as Rick is still hard at work on MoA revisions, but something has come up! He mentioned a while ago that John Rocco is discussing cover art for the Mark of Athena... We probably won't see that until May or June, though.

Anyway, what I wanted to bring up today is that the Throne of Fire is available in Chinese! In case anyone is interested or speaks the language. Haha.

Thanks for reading and I'll keep you updated on Serpent's Shadow news (which we're sure to get soon).

The Red Pyramid Graphic Novel!!

Finally, some news!

We heard about the graphic novel for the Red Pyramid, but there hasn't been any news lately. I found on Rick's blog that they have a set release date (October 2) and a cover (which looks awesome).

Doesn't it look amazing? As I'm sure you can see, the cover features Sadie, Carter, Uncle Amos, and Bast (who looks awesome!). Fortunately, the style seems different from the Lightning Thief graphic novel, so this one shows promise.
I'll be on the lookout for more news and maybe even a few sneak peeks, and I'll keep you all posted!

Sea of Monsters Movie Development

The Three Fates have been cast!

http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=87603

Go check that out for more information.

In other casting news, it looks like the trio will be the same as the last movie, and Jake Abel's coming back as Luke. Gina Carano is rumored to play Circe, but nothing is definite right now. The expected release date is sometime in 2013.

Thanks to MortalNet for bringing this to my attention.
