Yes it seems really good movie. I am keeping my enthusiasm back a bit cause the first movie from the trailers looked a bit good as well and it wasn't .
When Thalia turned into a pine was a really unexpected good scene !
I think that Jake Abel makes Luke way better than RR in the books. He seems more...well...evil than in the books. More focused and decisive.
Brandon T. Jackson is very good as well but the role is a bit different from the books.
asdfgh! I just had a magor fangirl freak-out moment here. It looks so amazing! I cannot WAIT. This is going to be so AMAZING. And THALIA!!!!
ReplyDelete(How do YOU pronounce Thalia's name? Everyone I've heard, including the narrator in different PJ&O books, pronounces it differently.)
I'm so excited!!! I can't wait to see some Thalia flashbacks!
DeleteJust Tha and Leah. You?
I don't think it matters, but we will see what the film decides to do. I pronounce it th-ah-lia instead of th-ay-lia
ReplyDeleteThat's how I say it, too.

In Greece we pronounce it Tha-lia.
That's probably a good idea. Don't get your hopes up.

You're right; Jake is a great actor, perfect for the part.
I like him as Grover, but he isn't like how he is in the books, like you said. Still, I think he's cool.
That's how most people here say it. I hope they don't mispronounce it in the movie.
