Here's What's Up

First off, it's over. That's it. By this time most of you have probably finished The Blood of Olympus and shed tears or felt disappointment (like I did) that some things weren't included.

But we have more to look forward to!

Like on August 18, 2015...

And a brand new short story! No date on that one just yet, but I'll keep looking.

It's Over (Spoilers Ahead)

The final book came out on Tuesday. I just finished it yesterday. Honestly, I'm disappointed in a few ways. They made Gaea out to be such a huge deal and I think they defeated her too easily. The Romans and Greeks accepted each other way too easily, I thought that was just unrealistic. And that thing where Frank's sense of duty was supposed to stop Percy from making a mistake was epically pointless. I did like the Calypso/Leo ending though. That was really sweet :)

So Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard comes out next October. I figured out who Magnus Chase is. Rick has mentioned a few times that the new series takes place in Boston and in BoO Annabeth mentioned some cousins in Boston. He's Annabeth's cousin. Duh.

I'm also disappointed that Percy and Annabeth didn't get to narrate. I wanted to know if Annabeth and her mom worked everything out. What their plans were for New Rome. Etc.

I'll keep you guys posted about the new series. And I'm kind of expecting something to come up with the Kane siblings and Percy and Annabeth. But ultimately, the series is over. Ten books, years of waiting, and it's all done. It's been fun, guys.

One last thing...

PERCY DIDN'T HAVE HIS REUNION WITH HIS MOTHER AND THAT'S WHAT I'M MOST MAD ABOUT. SCREW YOU, RICK. SCREW YOU.

Rick confirmed in a podcast that the last name Chase in his new series is not a coincidence...

Then there's this tweet, which I'm a little skeptical about because sometimes people make fake tweets from him and it's hard to tell rumor from truth.

Also, the Hazel quote from BoO.

Rumor?

I don't know if this is true or not, but apparently Rick's Norse series features a main character named Magnus Chase. AS IN RELATED TO ANNABETH OR PERCY AND ANNABETH'S CHILD OR WHAT?

Nothing is confirmed right now.

*Update: it's true, first book is due to hit stores fall 2015. Rick confirmed this on his tumblr account. Is Magnus related to Annabeth?? So many questions!

Theory and Clue #8: Frank

Clue 8 is brought to us by the amazing CassJayTuck :) But I'll get to that soon.

First, a theory about an oath to keep with a final breath.

So we know it has something to do with Percy's loyalty and Frank's sense of duty. Here's my thought process. Frank is going to sacrifice himself by burning out his stick, for some reason, and Percy's going to try to stop him, but the whole war with Gaea might go sideways if he stops Frank. Just a happy thought.

Someone else suggested that it has something to do with Percy's promise to his mom over the phone in Alaska that he'd come home soon.

Now, for the clue.

Clue #7: NICO!!!

I'm gonna try something a little different... see if instead of posting a link, I can just embed the video. No clue why I didn't do this sooner.

This is actually a really good clue... most of the other ones are total rip-offs...

Apparently there are going to be NINE CLUES! The first was Hazel's point of view. The one in this video is Jason. I assume the rest will be Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Piper, Frank, and maybe Nico and Reyna?

Anyway, still waiting on the Annabeth quote for Blood of Olympus. A day or two more at the most.

Released just yesterday. I think it's definitely the best of the UK covers. I'd even go so far as to say I like it.

What's Going On Now...

Blood of Olympus is in print! It's still due out October 7. No chance of it coming out before. Rick confirmed that he has not given away any spoilers about the book, so disregard all those tweets I posted! He also said the ending won't be a cliffhanger, that we'll know what happens to the characters but we won't know every little detail about the rest of their lives. He doesn't like epilogues. Also, he's officially started work on his Norse series! Other than the fact that he's started it, I have no info on it. Sorry.

Also due out on October 7, The Lost Hero graphic novel. To be honest, I had no clue that The Battle of the Labyrinth and The Last Olympian graphic novels came out... my apologies.

Quick Update

First, I wanted to show you all this picture that Uncle Rick posted a while back (that I forgot to post...)

Also, there is a pretty substantial rumor floating around that Nico will have a narration in The Blood of Olympus. I'm pretty sure this was confirmed by Rick himself... though I remember last year or the year before, he said that Nico would not be narrating at all in the series.

In fact, I just checked. As far as I can tell (unless someone can prove me wrong) Rick hasn't confirmed this.

Anyway, cover and chapter 1 of Blood of Olympus will be released May 20!

And my mom is having surgery May 21... so I'll be taking care of her, which means I won't be able to post right away when big news comes out. Just be prepared. I'll do my best to keep up, though
